less than 3 weeks to go...reading BRI's site has just made me miss home even more. i absolutely cannot wait. 

HK is pop. when the novelty wears off, there is no substance.  the novelty has worn off.  i miss my family and my friends. i miss the familiarity of Toronto and Waterloo. i miss driving, fresh air, patio dining, getting off work at 5, lawns and garages.  i miss my home.

well well...as of yesterday June 23 @ 3:00pm HK Time...Hong Kong was officially declared SARS FREE. yay.

haven't been writing much mostly because i haven't been inspired much.  really just sitting on my ass counting down the days until i head home to TO (gonna be long ass countdown considering i still have slightly over 4 weeks to go!)...thinking about jumping on the bandwagon and getting myself started on reading up about a boy named Potter...seems like he's all the rage these days. 

exactly one month left...see ya'll soon...but not soon enuff.

well it's official. the tickets are booked and in my hands (well they're e-tickets...but i have the itinerary (sp?) here).  we're coming home!!!  me and tracy will be coming back end of July (July 24 - Aug 7).  SWEEEEETTTT!! a much needed redose of good old TO.

hopefully this trip will help me to rejuvenate my outlook of HK (which right now i must confess is getting very tired).

living in anticipation of the future results in missing out on today...

i think i am falling into the slump of living for the "future"...for some reason i just can't seem to get myself to "live" here in HK.  physically i am here...but mentally i just can't connect.  sometimes it seems like i am just here to endure the days until i return "home". 

humans are such fickle creatures. it seems like the grass is ALWAYS greener on the other side...
